Become a driver for the Lübeck Food Bank
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 7.30 am to around 2 pm
Do you enjoy being behind the wheel and taking on responsibility? As a driver, you’ll be part of a team of two or three, travelling to supermarkets, discount stores and bakeries to collect rescued food and deliver it safely to our distribution centres. You’ll be responsible for the vehicle and the route – a role for anyone who is reliable, organised and enjoys working as part of a team.
Tasks
- Collecting food from supermarkets, discount stores, bakeries, etc., and delivering it to the distribution centres using our own vans in teams of two or three
- Checking that the food is fit for consumption
- Loading and unloading the vehicles
- Taking responsibility for the vehicle during the route
- Keeping a digital logbook
Requirements
- Category B driving licence for our Sprinters and/or Category 3 for our vehicles weighing 7.5 tonnes or more
- Ideally, experience of driving these vehicles
- Regular availability – preferably once a week
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Good interpersonal skills
- Physical stamina
